Original overflow had worn out. Easy replacementWaited a bit to review… Was a bit skeptical for the price, however am pleasantly surprised that it’s held up over the past 5 months flawlessly. Was super easy to install. It’s a fraction larger than what was there, but the screw holes lined right up and aligned down the shaft perfectly. (The tub is probably from the late 50’s.)I bought this to replace the old one in our guest bathtub. All the other ones I saw were too small and wouldn't cover the hole. This one was the exact same size, nice chrome finish and bolted right on. It was simple: Removed the two screws from the old one and gently pulled it out, unhooked the cotter pin connecting it to the drain assembly (don't worry, once unhooked, the assembly won't fall down the drain overflow pipe). Attached the new one with a new cotter pin (you will have to supply the new cotter pin) and screwed it in place. Everything worked like it should and probably took ten minutes to install. Very pleased. This was a good replacement on an older Kohler. Had to dremel the nut that it covered but was better fit than locally available. Quality is typical. Appearance and function are good. This cover has little tabs around the edge that keep the cover from sitting flush on the tub surface, thus being open continuously around the circumference. It did not cover the opening at all, even though it is a larger diameter. You cannot tell this from the description or the picture. Disappointing.Nothing to really say here, it is over sized for my tub that had a very large, VERY rusted plate. It works. I'm happy;finally one that fitsVery happy with this finally found something that fit
